Coldest Night of the Year

On February 22nd, 2020, some students from the Christians in Society class are taking the initiative to raise awareness, money, and support those in need in Hamilton by walking in the ‘Coldest Night of the Year’ campaign downtown Hamilton. If interested in joining us walk or sponsoring our HDCH team you can find us on the Coldest Night of the Year website under the HDCH Outreach Team!

Blessings, Ana, Renee & Zach

HANDS Service Trip

There is a team of 14 individuals from HDCH presently preparing for a HANDS – Helping Another Nation Develop Schools mission trip to Nicaragua with EduDeo this March Break. These students have been focusing on ways to support this school community through fundraising for a construction job, purchasing sports equipment, planning devotions, preparing crafts, planning games, and creating a presentation about Canada for the school children in Managua.

As a team, we would like to thank the Spotted Owl https://thespottedowl.ca/ for hosting a fundraising event held at HDCH. We are also very grateful to those who bid on our recent Online Valentine Auction. We were very blessed by our community with donations for this fundraiser as different companies, organizations, and individuals within the region graciously provided items for this auction.

You’re Invited
Our final team fundraiser is a school-wide Shrove Tuesday pancake breakfast. We are cordially inviting the entire school and community to come to join us for breakfast on Tuesday, February 25th from 8:30 – 9:15 AM at HDCH. As expressed by Aesop we are learning that “no act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted” as we continue to work towards our outreach goals for this EduDeo Mission Trip. Blessings, Nicaraguan Mission Team.
