A special note of THANKS to everyone who has so graciously donated so many new and gently used items for our two winter campaigns. We are still collecting winter items to help those in need in Hamilton stay warm this winter!
The Christians in Society/WATCH group are focused on those living on the streets with a “Blessings in a Bag Campaign” and for those who are living in need within this area through the Dream Centre with the “Out of the Cold Campaign”. We have been blessed with so many wonderful items and yet the need is great, so please continue to send in items if you haven’t had a chance as we’ll be collecting until December 12th. Blessings!
Purses for Purpose
The Purses for a Purpose Campaign continues to grow each day as new and gently used purses continue to be dropped off at HDCH. This team has been blessed with donations from local dentists, a feminine hygiene company and the generosity of our community with so many different items to fill these purses. Thank you!
This team of Christian in Society students are looking forward to filling these purses before Christmas so please continue to send in items to fill these purses as these are such a blessing to those who receive them. If you get a chance please continue to send in items or purses until December 18th! Blessings!

The Christians in Society Class is welcoming adults from our community to join us for an intergenerational Bible Study. The Bible Study will take place on Thursday mornings at HDCH from 9: 00 – 10:15 AM. The students in the class selected the questions relating to their own faith journey to work through together.
The most asked questions by the students included:
- What influences our faith?
- How can I share my faith with others? Prayer and wanting to focus on this topic.
- How can I see God in my everyday life?
- What is the role of the Bible in the life of a Christian?
- What makes Christianity different from other religions?
- What is God’s will in my life?
Together we plan to share our insight, understanding, experience as we open the scriptures to find God’s will in our lives. Please consider joining us this semester; for more details please email Pauline VanderVelde at email@example.com or call HDCH at 905-648-6655. Blessings.
