Updated Exam Schedule

Please refer to Edsby for the most recent updates to the exam schedule.

It’s almost semester 2

What can you expect when you come back to school in Semester 2?

New timetable
Starting at 8:30 am, all students can pick up a new copy of their semester 2 timetable in the the following rooms. (There have been some room changes since timetables were first printed in August, so make sure to get yours!)

  • Grade 9 – Rm115
  • Grade 10 – Rm 116
  • Grades 11 & 12 – the caf

After you get your timetable, head to the library for your semester 2 textbooks. Classes will run on an alternate schedule so there will be time for everyone to pick up their book before period 1 begins.

Class changes
If you’re thinking of changing a class, sign up via the appointment sign up link on the Edsby Student Services page. And then please attend the classes on your timetable until Student Services staff connect with you.

Any other questions? – Drop by the office and Mrs. Slootweg will help you out.

Our Spring Fundraiser is a dinner and silent auction on March 30th to raise funds for Student Learning Projects.  We are inviting more people to be a part of the planning team.

Do you enjoy planning events, decorating or do you have connections to local businesses whom you could approach for prizes and auction items?  Contact Tina VanDyk (tvandyk@hdch.org 905-648-6655 x 110) for more info.

Plans are already underway for the Eat, Give & Be Merry Spring Fundraiser – Dinner, Silent Auction & Raffle.  We could really use your help!

Help us to entice our dinner guests with fabulous auction items and prizes by donating gift cards, camping gear, electronics, or gift baskets.  Experiences are ever popular including game tickets or a cottage stay.

Do you have a skill to share? Consider donating a cooking, sign making, pottery or another workshop.  This is a great way to advertise your business AND raise funds for Student Learning Projects at HDCH.  For more information, contact Gillian Doucet Campbell or Tina VanDyk.

In case of wintery weather

Now that we are getting closer to winter, it seems prudent to remind you of what to do if you wake up one morning and the weather outside is frightful.

We will post cancellation notices in the following places: Edsby, CHCH TV, CHML 900 radio, Facebook, and Twitter. If there is no cancellation notice, then come on in – we’re open!
